Reasons for the increase of chimpanzee permit costs?
Well, the major reason behind the increase of chimpanzee permit costs in Kibale forest national park is to promote the conservation of endangered chimpanzees for sustainable tourism. Chimpanzees are listed among the endangered species which if not handled with care can get extinct denying the future generation a chance to meet their lost cousins.
Also, the cost of the increase of chimpanzee permits in Kibale Forest is to limit the number of travelers visiting these apes. Chimpanzees share 99.9% of human genes hence our closest relatives are susceptible to human diseases.
