One of the past clients reviewed “This was our first “safari” lodge experience and we so excited to stay here for three nights – it was amazing! We stayed in a Thatched Safari tent right down by the river and thought it was a perfect option.

These tents close to the river have a “porta potty” as a toilet in the ensuite to comply with environmental issues, but we had not issue with this as there was no smell and it was very clean. The tent had a solid wooden door for easy entry/exit & security from inquisitive monkeys and despite it being very warm outside we were comfortable. Lighting was by way of solar lights and we found our headlamps to be useful as they weren’t particularly bright. The bed was covered with a mozzie net which was set up each night whilst we were at dinner. There is a room safe for valuables in the tent. Meals at the restaurant overlooking the river were very nice – one night was a bbq buffet feast which was incredible and we loved having our sundowners on the comfortable loungers watching the hippos in the river below. We found most of the staff lovely and friendly with one exception – the European managers.”
