Go gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park home to the endangered mountain gorillas in the whole world. The Impenetrable forest hosts over 450 gorillas habituated into 21 gorilla families namely Mubare, Habinyanja, Kyaguliro, Mucunguzi, Rushegura, Mishaya, Mukiza,Oruzogo, Busingye, Muyambi, Bweza, Nshongi, Nkuringo, Katwe and Christmas gorilla groups. Bushaho and Bikyingi gorilla groups are still undergoing habituation in Rushaga sector. The 5 Days safari will also take you to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the second largest park in Uganda sheltering a variety of wild animals. Game drives in the park offer you scenic views of various wild animals such as Elephants, Buffalos, Warthogs, Uganda kobs, Impalas, Elands, Topis, Waterbucks, Lions, Spotted Hyenas, Giant Forest hogs, Nile crocodiles and hippos.There are also chimpanzees and other primates in Kyambura gorge.
Queen Elizabeth National Park also contains a 40 kilometers long Kazinga channel which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Kazinga channel offers you best best boat cruising and bird watching experience. Drive to Ishasha sector home to the rare tree climbing lions seen hanging up in the fig and acacia trees.
Drive to Kibale Forest National Park, the “Primates Capital “of Africa. Located in western Uganda, Kibale Forest hosts the highest number of chimpanzees together with other primates. These include Blue monkeys, Grey cheeked mangabeys, Pottos, L’Hoest Monkeys, Pats monkeys, Vervet monkeys, Olive baboons, red tailed monkeys, Uganda Red Colobus, Demidof Galago and Uganda Mangabeys among others. Chimpanzee trekking in the major tourist activity done in Kibale Forest National Park done along other activities such as nature walk in Bigodi wetland, butterfly watching and community tours among others.

Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Gorilla Forest
In the morning, you will drive southwestwards to Bwindi National park, with a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. Continue the scenic drive to Kabale town, also known as the “Switzerland of Africa”. Later transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp (Luxury)/ Silverback Lodge (Mid range)/Buhoma community bandas (Budget).
Day 2: Gorilla tracking and community walk
In the morning, assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing from the park rangers about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas. Proceed for the memorable adventure in the forest, an activity that may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the animals. Meet and stay with the animals for a maximum of one hour, then descend to the park headquarters and then to your Lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you may go for a community walk in the nearby Batwa community, where you will be entertained and given tales of their unique culture. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park
In the morning, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park passing via Ishasha sector, where you will have game drives to see tree-climbing lions and other animals as well as a variety of bird species. Reach QENP early enough for lunch at Mweya Safari Lodge. In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, where you will have an opportunity to see a variety of birds such as the kingfisher, herons, blue oraco and many more. You will also see the game such as hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, elephants as they bask along the channel banks. Dinner and overnight at Kyambura game Lodge/Ihamba Lodge/Kingfisher Lodge.
Day 4: Morning game drive and Chimpanzee tracking
Early morning, go for a game drive along Kasenyi track in search for Africa Lions, Leopards, herds of Elephants and Buffaloes among others, return to the lodge for late breakfast and relax as you wait for lunch. In the afternoon, go to Kyambura gorge for Chimpanzee tracking where you will also encounter other primates such as the baboons, colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to Kampala
In the morning after your breakfast, set off for your journey back to Kampala with stopovers for photography and lunch reaching late in the afternoon, and you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight or to the airport for your departure flight.
