Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe & Nature Walk
Leave your Kigali Hotel early morning for Nyungwe National Park in southwestern Rwanda. Have a stopover at the Nyanza Palace for a tour and Butare Museum and then proceed to Nyungwe arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon go for a nature walk where you will see a number of birds.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking & Canopy Walk
Head to the park headquarters for a briefing about chimpanzee trekking and then head to the forest where you will meet the chimpanzees. You will see other primates in the park and later return for lunch. In the evening you will go for a canopy walk where you will have great views of the forest and wildlife that live in the high canopy layers. In the evening return to your lodge for a rest.

Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park & Kayaking
After breakfast leave Nyungwe for Volcanoes National park arriving early enough for a lunch break. In the evening go for Kayaking along River Mukungwa.

Day 4: Gorilla Trek & Cultural Visit
Start the day with an early morning breakfast and then head to the park headquarters for briefing about the gorilla trek. You will be guided to the forest in search for the gorillas and once you get to them stay in their presence for an hour and later be brought back to the park. In the evening go for a cultural visit to the gorilla guardian village where you will know more about the local people’s culture.

Day 5: Golden Monkey trek & Departure
