3 Days Uganda Gorilla Habituation Tour
This 3 Days gorilla habituation tour is an experimental experience, which offer you 4 hours of encounter with the endangered wild gorillas in their natural habitat. The experience takes place in Rushaga sector located in the southern region of Bwindi Forest Park. In addition, the 3 Days gorilla safari entails visiting golden monkeys and optional batwa cultural trail in Mgahinga gorilla National park. You will visit on of the two wild gorilla families undergoing habituation experience. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park is a Centre for gorilla trekking experiences. There are 20 gorilla families, which are fully habituated and open for trekking. These include Mubare, Rushegura, Habinyanja, Kyaguliro, Kahungye, Bweza, Oruzogo, Mishaya, Kutu, Nkuringo, Katwe, Christmas, Busingye, Mucunguzi and Rwigi gorilla groups among others. Combing gorilla habituation and any of the two experiences (batwa trail or golden monkeys) will offer you a magical feeling that you will live to remember. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi.
You will be picked up by our company guide from your Kigali hotel/airport and then be driven northwards across the border to Uganda’s Bwindi impenetrable forest national park located in southwestern Uganda. This drive will take you a 4 to 5 hours drive. You will have great en route scenic views and have stopovers for photography if you want to and proceed to Bwindi for Meals and overnight at Travelers Rest (Budget)/ Ichumbi lodge (mid range)/Four Gorillas Lodge (luxury)
Day 2: Gorilla habituation Experience
After an early morning breakfast walk to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for briefing and later follow the gorilla trail. It normally takes between 2 to 8 hours or even a day to encounter the gorillas. You will be allowed to stay in the presence of these awesome apes for 4 hours as you see how they live in the wild and get to know more about them. You will later return for a drop off at your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Traveler’s Rest (Budget)/ Ichumbi lodge (mid range)/Four Gorillas Lodge (luxury)
Day 3: Golden Monkey tracking / Batwa Trail and transfer back to Kigali
In the morning, you will go for golden monkey tracking in Mgahinga Gorilla Park. Alternatively you can choose to do a batwa trail experience where you will discover and learn more about the Batwa as they demonstrate their ancient ways of life. On return you will be transferred back to Kigali arriving in the evening for a drop off at your hotel/Airport depending on schedule
